This page explains how to delete your account in WorkTally, the app developed by nexR, and what happens to the data linked to it. It is the account-deletion information required by the app stores (Google Play, App Store).
1. Delete in the app
- Open the WorkTally app and go to Profile → Privacy.
- Tap “Delete my account”.
- Confirm with your password.
If you are the only owner of a company: first transfer ownership to another user, or use “Close company and delete my account” on the same screen.
2. Delete on the web, without the app
- Sign in at /app/login.
- Open /app/my/privacy.
- Use “Delete my account” and confirm with your password.
This also works if your company account has been suspended or closed, or your membership has been disabled: after signing in you will see a limited account page where only account deletion is available.
3. If you cannot sign in
- If you forgot your password, set a new one with “Forgot password” at /app/forgot-password, then follow the steps above.
- Or send an e-mail with the subject “Hesap silme talebi” (account deletion request) to info@nexr.net.tr from the address registered to your account. We verify your identity and answer within 30 days at the latest (KVKK art. 13).
4. What is deleted
- Your login account: name, e-mail address, password, sessions and refresh tokens.
- Devices registered for push notifications and your in-app notifications.
- Your access to all companies is closed immediately.
Deletion runs as a background job and usually completes within a few minutes.
5. What is retained and why
- Employee records belong to your employer. Your employer is the data controller for attendance/timesheet, leave and payroll-related employee records. These records may have to be kept for statutory periods (for example under labour and tax law). They are not deleted by WorkTally when you delete your login account.
- Your request is forwarded to your employer. Your deletion request is forwarded to each company you belong to as a data-subject (erasure) request. Your employer decides whether the employee record is erased or anonymised and answers you within 30 days.
- Security and audit logs are kept for a limited period, as described in the Privacy Policy, and then deleted.
- Backups roll over within their retention cycle; deleted data disappears from backups at the end of that cycle.
6. Closing a company
When a company is closed, all of its data is permanently purged 30 days after closing. Owners should export any data they need before closing the company.
